We provide consultation, peer review, rating analysis and editing for grants you have written on your own, Often it is wise to have “another set of eyes” review your proposal before it is submitted to the funder.

If available, we use the funder provided rating tools to score your proposal, identify possible weak points, and suggestions to improve your score. In addition, or if a rating tool is not available, we will use our own tool to provide you with an overall evaluation based on the RFP or foundation application.

  Does it conform to format and guidelines?
 Is it clearly written?
 Is it well organized?
 Is the program plan logically developed?
 Is the overall program sufficiently focused?
 Are the goals and specific aims too diffuse?
 Are the goals and specific aims research driven?
 Is there sufficient preliminary need?
 Does the need data support the program plan?
 Is the experience and productivity of the key personnel sufficient?
 Are the collaborative arrangements appropriate?
 Is the budget and project duration appropriate and well justified?
 Have grantsmanship techniques been utilized advantageously?
